The Winning Shot:

Photographing for Publication

Sunday; 7:30am

Want to get your church activities noticed? Whether in the pages of The Congregationalist or your local newspaper, or on a Web site, chances of a story's publication with favorable placement go way up when you provide an emblematic photograph that tells the story with visual impact. This enjoyable, lively breakfast seminar by Larry Sommers, editor of The Congregationalist and an experienced photojournalist, will help you plan for and achieve emblematic shots guaranteed to thaw the frostiest editorial heart because they command the attention of readers.

Breakfast Gathering for Moderators of Churches/Associations

Lead by Moderator, Sherry Glab

Sunday; 8:00am

The first year I attended a NACCC conference I had hoped there would be a meeting of moderators and moderators-elect of churches and associations. I was disappointed when I found there was none.  The idea is we come together to share ideas and get to know one another. If you are attending as one of the above, please join us for breakfast on Sunday morning to get acquainted and share.

Missionary Society Breakfast

Monday; 6:50am

Please join us for an enjoyable, informative breakfast and consider becoming a "friend" of missions. Annual Missionary Society Membership makes it possible to maintain our pledge of "dollar for dollar" support for all our mission projects.   Contributions will be recognized at one of the levels below between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010.

Bronze Annual Membership - $100

Silver Annual Membership - $250

Gold Annual Membership - $500

The featured speakers will be Ms. Juana Santos of Panamerican Institute in Mexico, and Rev. Dr. Tom Gossett of Indian Trails Mission in Arizona/Mexico.

Retired Ministers' Breakfast

Monday; 7:30am

All those retired from ministry and their families are invited to join with other retirees to get acquainted and share stories and concerns. We will have an expert in some financial areas join us, so that we may find answers to questions unique to retirement.

AMCO/ICF Dinner

Monday; 6:00pm

The American Committee for the International Congregational Fellowship (AMCO/ICF) invites you to join us for dinner at a selected site near the hotel for our Annual Meeting where you can find out more about our International connections, the next Quadrennial Meeting in England in 2013, and what is happening in Congregational churches around the world. We will hear from our Regional Secretary, Sharon Binger and hopefully from other dignitaries who can join us. We hope you will seek to further your Congregational connections by coming to our dinner, it is open to everyone! Please sign up on your registration form.

The Congregationalist

Editor's Roundtable Breakfast

Tuesday; 7:30am

Editor's Roundtable members donate $100 or more per year to support the ongoing mission of The Congregationalist, our quarterly magazine of Congregationalism. At the Editor's Roundtable breakfast, editor Larry Sommers will answer questions and give members a preview of future plans and projects.

Intentional Transitional

Ministers' (Interims) Breakfast

Tuesday; 7:30am

The need for good Intentional Transitional Ministers is growing in our churches, as the seasons of change increase. Come to this gathering if you are in transitional ministry or are thinking about getting the training. We continue to learn from each other as this ministry broadens. There will be lots of questions and answers.

Tuesday's Dinner at Kincaid Park

The park is mostly forested, with birch, cottonwood, and spruce. Wildlife includes moose, lynx, bear, fox, eagles, porcupines and many others. In fact, Kincaid Park is home to the city's largest moose population. In snowless months the park is frequented by runners, bikers, hikers, archers, dog-trainers, motocross users, disc golfers, and rollerskiers as well as Congregationalists winding down from meetings.
